As a Marketer, in times of innovation and change, how do you stay positive and do your job, when your employer won’t allow participation on any social platforms? I continuously stress the importance of not being apart of the social scene, but after 2 years of professional pleading my case, I’m more than frustrated.

I don’t know if it’s a cultural barrier because the managing partners are outside the US, but I’ve presented more than enough compelling data that stresses the NEED to participate. Pressure is continuously put on sales to gain market share, but HOW IS THAT DONE IF NO ONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE?!?! I mean, visibility is value. In order to increase brand recognition, you need to make it easier and become more accessible to potential customers. Without social media inbound traffic is extremely limited. I really don’t understand why this is so hard to understand, especially when your competition is active.

By the time it finally does get embraced, something new will have already come along and replaced it. **sigh**
